Zelunjo Zelus Eye Care Foundation was born out of the need to help provide and establish good and affordable eye care in rural communities in Nigeria and beyond. Currently, based in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Initially this happened mainly through creative awareness in our locality. The support has shifted to donating ophthalmic equipment and giving free eye treatment via surgery and diagnosis. We are working towards sustainable eye care.

The support of the Zelunjo Zelus Eye Care Foundation is focused on the poorest for whom good medical care is inaccessible or unaffordable. The Eye Care Foundation has completed projects in the Izzi, Onuebonyi, Abakaliki and other parts of Ebonyi State. Also, intending to reach various communities in Nigeria and beyond.

We plan to provide support To Eye Centres by setting up standard medical facilities in the regions with well-trained local staff, volunteers, and good housing.

The goal is to strengthen those networks with our project supports. Over time, the networks should be able to support themselves financially and acquire the expertise to work independent of our support.
